TodaysMeetThe Tool:
TodaysMeet is a backchannel where students can hold a conversation in real-time using 140 characters (similar to Twitter). Teachers create a room and determine how long the room will stay open (1 hour, 2 hours, 8 hours, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year). Teachers give students the Url to the room and students can have a conversation in real-time. Example: Mrs. Zumpano had students reflect in a todaysmeet room while other students presented their webquests. This allowed the students to give the presenters feedback without interrupting the presenter. Click here to see an example of transcripts from this lesson.
